Our Destiny Entwined - Order the Book

Our Destiny Entwined tells the tale of Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery in the fall of 1805 as they traveled down the Columbia River from the dangerous rapids of Celilo Falls near present day The Dalles, Oregon, to the vast bays and estuaries, and the rugged coastlines, where the mighty Columbia River empties into the Pacific Ocean. Through dismal weather, illness and close contact with local Native American peoples,  Lewis and Clark constructed and stayed at Fort Clatsop, their 1805-1806 winter encampment near present day Astoria, Oregon until their departure in March of 1806.

Our Destiny Entwined
is a lavishly illustrated historical fiction that captures the lives and passions in rich detail of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and all of the 33 members who made up the Corps of Discovery, as well as those of many of the native people they encountered along the way.  Supported by over 200 photographs, a dozen detailed maps, and plentiful entries from Lewis and Clark’s own historic journals, this narrative transports the reader on an expedition of hardship, adventure, and discovery with Lewis and Clark-back into the harrowing and beautiful land that was the early American frontier

The epic expedition of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and the Corps of Discovery that journeyed across North America from 1803-1805, set the stage for American expansion into a new frontier that would become the American West. One part of the Lewis and Clark story that has, until now, received less attention than it should is the winter of 1805-1806 that they spent in the Pacific Northwest along the Oregon and Washington coastline of the Pacific Ocean - the ultimate objective of their orders from President Thomas Jefferson.
