Lewis and Clark Historic Fort Clatsop Restoration
Fort Clatsop Restoration In October 2005 a tragic fire destroyed the historical replica of Fort Clatsop at Lewis and Clark National Historic Park, our nation’s newest addition to the National Parks. Fort Clatsop was the winter encampment of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and all of the 33 members of the Corps of Discovery during the winter of 1805-1806. The Fort Clatsop historical replica is an important part of the living history program at Lewis and Clark National Historic Park. Furthermore, the rebuilding of the Fort Clatsop historical replica is an essential connection to our American heritage along the Lewis and Clark trail during the bicentennial event. A special commemorative collector’s edition of the book Our Destiny Entwined is being offered by RiverWest Ventures, LLC. We will be contributing a portion of the proceeds from each sale of the Bicentennial Limited Edition of Our Destiny Entwined to the Fort Clatsop Historical Foundation to assist with the tremendous costs of the reconstruction of the original Fort Clatsop historical replica. Each commemorative collector’s edition of Our Destiny Entwined is one of a first run limited production of 1000 hand numbered, hard-cover, case-bound books that are hand-signed by the author and the photographer.
